Sonnet 105
Sonnet 105 is one of 154 sonnets written by the English playwright and poet William Shakespeare. ==Structure== Sonnet 105 follows the form of the classic Shakespearean sonnet/ English sonnet. This sonnet consists of 14 lines made up of three quatrains (12 lines) and a couplet (2 lines). It adheres to the rhyme scheme ABAB, CDCD, EFEF, GG and uses iambic pentameter. The first eight lines of the sonnet is called the octave and, in this sonnet, it explains the writers passion to clarify and create a distinction between his feelings for his lover and idolatry/worship. Lines 9 through the end of the sonnet is the sestet and in this portion, the writer attributes three distinct themes to his love: fair, kind and true.
